PARIS, France, July 30 /CNW Telbec/ - Alcan introduces the new
ALUCOBOND(R) Spectra Colors series for the global architectural and facade
markets.
"With its subtle nuances and color contrasts, Alcan's new ALUCOBOND(R)
Spectra Colors series celebrates the natural color shifts that occur in
everyday materials. The new color series was inspired by the glowing luster
and sheen in modern metals and the color shifts found in modern luxury goods.
This innovative new color series solidifies ALUCOBOND(R) as the product of
choice for the architectural and facade markets," stated Claus Leyting,
President Architecture of Alcan Composites.
Alcan's new ALUCOBOND(R) Spectra Colors series change color depending
upon the material's pigment type and the observer's viewing angle. Different
wavelengths of light are reflected back to the viewer producing an
ever-changing color gradient with iridescent highlights.
The new Spectra Colors series for ALUCOBOND(R) was created by Alcan
Composites in Singen, Germany, and is one of the many innovative projects the
Company's architectural business is developing.
Alcan's ALUCOBOND(R) aluminum composite material was developed to supply
a light and flexible material for facades. Available in different finishes, it
addresses both interior and exterior architectural applications and enables
the creation of a distinctive style and a unique image for every building.
Specifically requested by architects, ALUCOBOND(R) is used all over the world,
and millions of square meters have been sold since the product was launched in
1969. For more information please see: www.alucobond.com.
